Mission
The mission of the Rochester Youth Baseball Coalition is to build our community through baseball by increasing participation in high-quality, organized youth baseball and softball programs.
The mission of the Rochester Youth Baseball Coalition is accomplished by:
Coordinating Effort – The Rochester Youth Baseball Coalition meets on a regular basis to coordinate efforts, learn from one another, and improve the quality of the experience for youth participating in organized youth baseball and softball programs.
Strategic Planning – By coordinating efforts, the leagues in the City of Rochester are able to engage in ongoing, data-driven strategic planning. The Rochester Youth Baseball Coalition creates an inventory of the number of children participating each year and facilitates a participant satisfaction survey designed to improve the quality of the experience.
Facilitating Special Events – The Coalition organizes special events, such as the City-Wide Opening Day Parade at Frontier Field, and the U12 City of Rochester Youth Baseball Tournament.
Leveraging Resources – The leagues in the Rochester Youth Baseball Coalition are able to share resources in order to offer the highest quality playing experience for youth. These resources include financial resources, administrative systems (e.g. registration), human capital, and equipment.
